TravelPulse: New Ebola Outbreak Map Tracks Global Travel Restrictions and Health Measures

Ebola travel restrictions map

With fears over the Ebola outbreak growing, leading governments around the world to implement entry bans, quarantines and health measures to avoid the spread of the deadly virus, Riskline is offering a new map that shows impacted countries and regions to allow travelers and travel planners a new way to understand their travel risks and options.

The map offers an updated, consolidated view of which countries are experiencing the Ebola outbreak, which are under travel restrictions due to Ebola, and which offer health screening measures to reduce the risk of transmission.

As of June 15, only the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda are impacted by Ebola cases and transmission. Twenty-two countries, however, have implemented entry bans, quarantine requirements, visa suspensions, border closures and more to prevent the spread of Ebola, including the United States, Canada, South Korea, India, Mexico, The Bahamas and others.

Additionally, 93 other countries, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China and Japan, require health screening measures for travelers from the affected countries, which may include temperature checks and health declaration forms. Most countries with entry restrictions or travel bans have also implemented health screenings.
