Riskline partners with Zurich to enhance its travel insurance solution

Riskline travel alerts Zurich

Riskline’s AI-powered, real-time travel alerts are now integrated into Zurich’s offering, as disruptions become increasingly common and travellers prioritise security

SINGAPORE: Global travel intelligence company, Riskline has today announced a new partnership with a leading global insurer, Zurich Insurance (Zurich). The collaboration will enhance features within the Zurich Edge proposition with Travel Alerts powered by Riskline. These alerts provide travellers with pre-trip advice and real-time updates during their journeys, ensuring they can respond quickly to unexpected events. Riskline is one of the world’s leading travel risk insights companies, processing more than 100,000 data sources, providing accurate and timely travel risk assessments.

Features include pre-travel safety intelligence in a convenient, summarised format, immediate alerts if conditions change, and a safety-focused lens with tips for travellers that may require additional reassurances (such as solo travellers or those who may be going to high-risk areas), addressing growing customer concerns around risks faced when travelling. These alerts are delivered directly to customers’ emails, eliminating the need for an additional app on their phones and ensuring they are kept up to date with the latest developments.

Recent customer feedback from a Riskline survey underscores the value of its services: 100 percent of respondents said the travel alerts help them feel better informed and safer; 77 percent reported feeling less stressed and more secure when travelling; and 66 percent noted that female travellers face elevated risks, making the alerts especially valuable for both businesses and individual users. The collaboration comes as part of a wider enhancement within the Zurich Edge platform, Zurich’s proprietary digital distribution platform across Asia Pacific, which will include a Digital Wallet Policy Cards feature powered by Miss Moneypenny Technologies, a SaaS provider of digital wallet solutions. These additions are designed to provide customers with seamless, secure, and convenient access to critical insurance information while also offering enhanced safety when travelling.

The rollout will begin in Singapore, where customers purchasing direct-to-consumer travel insurance will be the first to access both Digital Wallet Policy Cards and Travel Alerts, and Australia, where the Digital Wallet Policy Cards will be available to customers who purchase Zurich’s motor insurance products via the Zurich Edge Platform. Following this, both new features will be made available in Malaysia through the same offer for travel insurance customers. These markets represent the first wave of rollout, with further expansion planned in the coming months as Zurich continues to bring digital-first solutions to more customers across the region.

Commenting on the partnership, Suzanne Sangiovese, CEO of Riskline, said: “Our partnership with Zurich underscores the importance of putting traveller safety at the heart of the insurance experience. By providing timely, relevant alerts directly to Zurich’s customers, we ensure they feel supported and informed before and during their journeys, reducing uncertainty and giving them peace of mind.”

Roopa Malhotra, Head of Customer & Digital, APAC at Zurich Insurance, added: “At Zurich, we’re committed to making insurance simpler and seamless. With Digital Wallet Policy Cards and Travel Alerts in our Zurich Edge proposition, we’re putting convenience and peace of mind right in our customers’ hands, empowering them and our partners to create truly personalized and relevant experiences.”
