Global travel intelligence company, Riskline, has today announced a new partnership with ITL World, a leading travel management company in the GCC region. The collaboration will enable ITL World to provide timely, destination-specific travel alerts to their customers, covering a range of disruptive developments relating to civil unrest, political instability, extreme weather, and more. Riskline is one of the world’s leading travel risk insights companies, processing more than 100,000 data sources, providing accurate and timely travel risk assessments.
ITL World serves a diverse customer base within the GCC region. The company primarily focuses on business travel, as well as specialised areas such as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events), high-net-worth individuals (HNWI), and educational travel.
Comprehensive Monitoring of Global Travel Risks
The newly integrated travel alert system monitors risks among more than 220 countries and territories, flagging everything from civil unrest and political instability to natural disasters and travel disruptions. Alerts are classified into seven clear categories, including Conflict and Terrorism, Health and Medical, and Travel Safety, as well as additional granular subcategories. The solution, powered by Riskline, detects and processes early signals before a global team of analysts verifies, assesses, and contextualises the data in real-time. Every alert is geolocated, categorised, and reviewed before it is published.
Responding to the GCC Tourism Boom and Increasing Disruptions
ITL World is looking to integrate the alerts as tourism in the GCC region booms. According to Statista, the projected revenue for this market is estimated to be $8.3 billion USD in 2025, and it is expected to grow annually at a rate of 3.5 percent between 2025 and 2029, resulting in a market volume of $9.6 billion USD by 2029. In particular, hotels are expected to be the largest, with a projected market volume of $4.25 billion USD in 2025. Meanwhile, with increasing geopolitical tensions, extreme weather, and strikes, travel disruptions have become more regular.
A recent travel disruption report found that 78 percent of business travellers globally experienced travel disruptions in 2024, with 43 percent facing significant delays of more than one hour. As tourism grows and puts more pressure on GCC transport and other related infrastructure, ITL World believes that travel alerts are no longer a luxury but a necessity, which is why the integration with Riskline’s solution comes at a perfect time.
