Voyage d’Affaires: Riskline and Safeture’s 2026 Risk Map

Riskline Risk Map 2026
Safeture and Riskline have just published their new risk map to identify the most dangerous destinations for business travellers.

Identifying danger without creating a climate of anxiety: this is the objective announced by Safeture and Riskline with this risk map. Jonas Brorson, Marketing Director at Safeture, explains: ” Risk awareness should not be about instilling fear, but about giving people the clarity they need to make the right decisions. With the 2026 Risk Map, we want to simplify global complexity and show that even in times of uncertainty, preparation and the right digital tools can make a tangible difference. Our aim is simple: to help organisations meet their responsibilities to their employees, wherever they are in the world. “.

This new risk map highlights a number of changes that have taken place this year. Unsurprisingly, Safeture points out that “Israel, Lebanon, Iran, the West Bank and Gaza experienced fluctuating levels linked to the conflict in Gaza, reaching a peak in the middle of the year before stabilising”. This stabilisation also occurred in Martinique after major social unrest, as in New Caledonia.

According to Safeture, the “top 10” least safe countries are Afghanistan, Ecuador, Haiti, Myanmar, Pakistan, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Ukraine and Venezuela. There were also few surprises when it came to the riskiest cities, including Caracas, Goma, Kabul, Khartoum, Mogadishu and Port-au-Prince.

The risk depends on the traveller

However, the authors of the report put things into perspective: “While threats describe the external situation, the risk depends on the traveller: their location, their exposure and their organisation’s ability to support them. Threats may be high in one country, but the real risk to an individual may be low if there are no assets or personnel present”.

Finally, the study published by Safeture also singles out the “good performers”, including Abu Dhabi, Munich, Reykjavik and Singapore. These are all business destinations rewarded for their low crime rates, solid governance and efficient public services.
