Message from the CEO
24/7/365. These digits reflect our ongoing commitment to our community. Every hour of every day, our team of analysts across 15 countries and 11 time zones, our growing development team and the senior management team are all working to assist and help business travellers around the world. And in this current climate, where a second wave of Covid-19 is starting to grip many countries, fast and accurate risk intelligence is now needed more than ever.
We continue to maintain and enhance our Covid-19 microsite and API in order to give our partners and their clients access to reliable, current and crucial intelligence. Our clients in the TMC and GDS community have used the last 6 months to prepare for the reopening and our data has been fundamental to this. They have built duty of care (DoC) platforms with our risk intelligence and also made our Covid data available in new or re-vamped policy tools, to help travel managers decide where they want their travellers to go.
Duty of care
DoC will now be a tool that will be regulated by organisations and governments worldwide. We anticipate the introduction of regulations for what to provide travellers before and during each trip – so if companies are not currently focusing on this, they need to do so now.
However, it’s not all about the here and now. Many companies are looking to the future, planning beyond what they need to navigate the current challenges, and considering what they will need in place once all of us can travel and meet again. As a result, there’s considerable interest from new sectors, including the airline industry and OTAs, in our full range of travel risk intelligence as well as our Covid-19 data.
We have also been looking to the future and, like many others in the industry, we’re reviewing and revaluating our pricing model. We aim to adjust the pricing in order to support our community in the current tough financial climate and to meet the industry’s future requirements in the months and years ahead.
Here’s to the months and years ahead. Let’s continue to work positively and collaboratively for a successful business future.

Dedicated COVID-19 Hub
Never has there been a greater need for immediate access to reliable, 24/7 risk intelligence than in the midst of a pandemic. Riskline has tracked the outbreak of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and COVID-19 pandemic since day one. We offer multiple solutions to help keep you safe and alert.
Black Lives Still Matter
As part of a series of articles examining racial discrimination, police brutality and mass protesting, we explore the continuing Black Lives Matter (BLM)-related protests in the United States.
While headlines and nightly news coverage has moved on to election horserace coverage, the racial justice and anti-police violence protests that first erupted in Minneapolis in May under the banner of Black Lives Matter (BLM) have spread much deeper into the United States (US).
COVID-19 Response: a six-month review
COVID-19 has evolved from a cluster of infections in Wuhan, China, to a global pandemic. Riskline’s coverage of COVID-19 has similarly evolved to keep up with rapidly changing health, security and travel environments around the world.
We have communicated real-time intelligence to our clients and partners about COVID-19 via Alert messages, Travel Advisories, Special Reports, Informer articles and the COVID-19 microsite, API and public maps. In this review we examine what we have been doing to keep you informed and prepared for the difficult decisions ahead.
Being optimistic during the lockdown in Melbourne
The city of Melbourne has enforced some of the most draconian measures during the COVID-19 outbreak. One of our intelligence analysts, Ramya, lives in Melbourne. In this informer article, she shares her experiences during the lockdown in the city.
Virtual Events and Webinar
We were virtual exhibitors at the inaugural Business Travel Show America and the 4th annual Global Travel Risk Summit Europe hosted by the BTN Group and HospitalityLawyers. It was great to speak to so many of you about your duty of care needs, and to have an opportunity to showcase our industry-leading products.
During the pandemic, we have found new mediums to engage with the industry. One of those mediums is podcasts. Our Commercial and Communications Director, Suzanne Sangiovese, recently participated in the thought-provoking podcast “How to Travel Safely During a Pandemic”, where she discussed the “New Science of Travel”. Our commitment to you
Riskline will continue to support our clients through this crisis. We have more than a decade of experience working remotely with geographically-distributed team members; so far, we have not changed how we work in any way. We will continue our 24/7 intelligence tracking through our virtual operations centre and keep you updated about our business activity as the crisis evolves.
Please get in touch with us – now or in the future – if you know how we can adjust to support you in this radically altered environment.
