A GBTA survey carried out in partnership with AIG Travel showed that 83 percent of female travellers had one or more safety-related concern or incident in the past year.
Of the women surveyed, 68 percent said their company should have policies that specifically address the needs of female business travellers.
However, a recent survey of travel buyers revealed only 18 percent report that their employer has these gender-specific policies in place.
We take female traveller safety seriously at Riskline, which is why last year we created over 220 country-specific safety reports written by women, for women.
In light of International Women’s Day on 8 March we want to remind businesses it’s their moral and legal obligation to ensure the safety and well-being of all of their travellers.
Duty of Care isn’t one size fits all.
It’s time to take action and make sure your travel management programme is inclusive of your diverse workforce.
